Questions people ask before choosing
What counts as a session?
A session starts when the app comes to the foreground and ends after 30 seconds in the background or when the process exits. Sampled-out sessions are not counted. Crashes from unsampled sessions are recorded but do not count either.
What happens when I go over the included sessions?
Nothing stops. Extra sessions are billed at the plan's per-million rate at the end of the month. If you would rather cap spend, set a sampling rate or a hard monthly limit in the console; when the limit is reached the SDK is told to stop sampling new sessions until the next month.
Can I change plans in the middle of a month?
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades apply at the next renewal. Retention changes apply to new data; existing data keeps the retention it was stored with.
Do development and staging builds cost anything?
No. Sessions with the environment set to development are kept for 24 hours and never counted. Staging sessions are counted, so most teams set a low sample rate for staging.
How is a React Native or Flutter app counted?
One app per platform. A React Native app shipped on iOS and Android is two apps on the Team plan. Sessions are counted the same way as native sessions.
Which payment methods and currencies do you support?
Card payments in USD and EUR on Team and Business, monthly or annual with two months free. Business and Enterprise customers can pay by invoice in USD, EUR or RUB on annual terms.
Is there a discount for open source or education?
Yes. Open source projects and university courses get the Team plan at no cost. Write to hello@mustgate.org with a link to the repository or course.
